CONTAKIDS at K77 Berlin

Especially welcoming for parents with children who speak little or not at all

CONTAKIDS is a playful movement practice that invites parents and children to connect through touch, closeness, and shared motion – beyond the need for words. In a safe and joyful space, trust, intimacy, and communication can grow naturally through the body.

“What if movement is simply a space for the transmission of forces, sensations, intimacy, and reciprocity – beyond language?”
Ruth Churchill Dower

All families are welcome – regardless of language, background, or movement experience.

This class is held in German, but English speakers are warmly welcomed. I’m happy to translate as needed – and in any case, you can trust your senses and your body language. That’s what Contakids is all about. Words come second.

🟡 For one child (2–4.5 years) and one adult (parent, grandparent, close caregiver).

How does a Contakids class work?

  • We start with a short warm-up for adults.

Then follow partner exercises, group games, and dynamics in different constellations.

About 45 minutes of guided movement, followed by 10 minutes of free play and winding down — there’s always time for cuddles.

We dance, slide, roll, jump, run — upside down, hand in hand, heart to heart.

Unlike many children’s classes, adults are just as much part of the session — fully engaged and using the special connection with their child.
