Chi Nei Tsang | Tao Touch® is a form of somatic abdominal bodywork that supports the body's natural capacity for self-regulation.
Developed by Taoist monks in ancient China, Chi Nei Tsang is a form of touch that works on all levels of being, physical, emotional, mental, and energetic.
The focus is on the abdominal area, where, in the Taoist view, life energy is stored and transformed. Through mindful and deep touch, tension can release and inner processes can reorganize.
At its core, the abdomen is understood as a sensitive space in which organs, breath, the nervous system, and emotional processes are deeply interconnected. Each session arises from what is perceptible in the body in the present moment. Over time, this work can support a more differentiated and coherent body awareness.
The work follows what reveals itself in the body, tension, stillness, movement, density, or areas of reduced perception.
I work with mindful, precise touch. It is not directed toward a goal, but toward what can be experienced in the tissue through contact. In this way, perception can become more differentiated. Processes may slow down, reorganize, or reconnect.
The abdomen is a highly sensitive area of the body. Here, breathing, digestion, protective responses, and emotional experience are closely intertwined.
The abdomen does not "store" in the sense of being a place where problems are kept. Rather, it reflects, through patterns of tension and movement, how the system is currently organized. In this work, this space is made directly perceptible through touch and awareness, without interpretation, without judgment.

This work is not aimed at fixing or changing something. It follows the understanding that the body has its own intelligence to regulate and organize itself. Touch supports this process without directing it.

With time and repeated experience, body perception can change. Many people experience a greater differentiation in sensing, more inner calm, and a clearer connection to their body in everyday life.
These processes do not unfold in a single moment, but over time, through rediscovering contact, slowing down, and allowing perception.
Scar tissue and densified structures can be part of the work. Through mindful touch, the perception of these areas can shift, and a sense of mobility in the tissue may become more accessible again.
Chi Nei Tsang means "working with the energy of the internal organs." In the TaoTouch® approach, the focus is not on the concept, but on direct bodily experience.
The work unfolds in the field of tissue, perception, and inner regulation.
